MOSELEY got their first win of the new Birmingham League Premier Division campaign with a 65-run victory over Smethwick.
Put into bat on a challenging looking wicket Moseley slumped to 25-5 in the 14th over with Sajid Ahmedazai taking three of the wickets to fall for just 11 runs.
Once again, Imandeep Kang and Jugdip Nandra steadied the ship with a seventh wicket partnership of 61, before Nandra was dismissed for 24 in the 44th over.
Looking to complete a second half century of the season, Imandeep was stumped for 48 in an attempt to boost the Griffs total.
The innings eventually closed on 134-8.
In reply the home side slumped from 26-0 after six overs to 69 all out, thanks to an outstanding spell of bowling from Yadvinder Singh, who took 8-34 from his ten overs.
It was a new personal Birmingham League best performance for Singh with all eight wickets coming in a 32-ball spell.
Up next for Moseley is home clash against Kenilworth Wardens.
