Moors set for Shrimps visit in FA Cup second round

Ben Tyler 9th Nov, 2020 Updated: 9th Nov, 2020

SOLIHULL Moors will visit League Two outfit Morecambe in the second round of the FA Cup.

Jimmy Shan’s side meet fourth-tier opposition for the second successive round – having dispatched of Scunthorpe United in Sunday’s first round tie by a 3-2 scoreline – and will make the trip to the Mazuma Stadium on the weekend beginning Saturday, November 28.

Morecambe, managed by Derek Adams, sit ninth in League Two after picking up five wins, two draws and four defeats to date.

And as was the case with Solihull’s clash with Scunthorpe, it will be the first meeting when the two sides duke it out in Lancashire, with a pot of £25,500 on the line for the winner and a potential meeting with Premier League or Championship opposition in the next round.

A date and kick-off time is to be confirmed in due course.
