Luxton disappointed by 'poorest' Earlswood performance

Solihull Editorial 2nd Nov, 2018   0

EARLSWOOD Town slumped to their sixth league defeat in eight outings after crumbling to a 4-0 reverse to Feckenham.

The Millers took the lead after 25 minutes but Earlswood responded, only for the equaliser to be chalked off for offside.

Earlswood started the second period brightly before defensive lapses gave Feckenham a comfortable 3-0 advantage.

A late fourth goal then compounded Earlswood’s misery.

Boss Adrian Luxton said: “It was our poorest performance since I took over.

“This was an opportunity for us to put some daylight between us and the team directly below us in the table and we have ended up second best.

“Barring ten minutes either side of half-time, we weren’t at the races.

“Fortunately we have games in hand to get some points and climb the table but we have to improve if we are to pick those points up.

“The players know what is expected of them and I am looking for a reaction.

“We have a good group here and with players to come back next week I’m sure they will respond in the right way.”
