KNOWLE & Dorridge Cricket Club won the 2016 Birmingham League T20 on Sunday at Bridgnorth Cricket club with comprehensive victories over Bromsgrove CC in the semi final and Walsall CC in the final.

Batting first in the semi final K&D posted 172 for 5 off their 20 overs courtesy of 83 from former Warwickshire batsman Jonathon Webb and 43 from Beau Webster.

In reply Bromsgrove made a strong start but were pegged back by excellent bowling from Jack Grundy (3 for 12) and Ben Coley (2 for 20) and were bowled out for just 85 as Nathan Roberts (2 for 2) finished off the innings.

In the final K&D faced Walsall who had beaten Shifnel in their semi final and again batting first K&D lost the early wicket of semi-final hero Webb (1).

But Alex Phillips (50)  Beau Webster (76 not out and a swashbuckling 48 not out from Captain Sam Reddish saw K&D post a challenging total of 192 for 2.

Walsall needed a strong start which did not happen as K&D bowled and fielded exceptionally, reducing their opponents to 64 for 7 in no time before they were eventually dismissed for 122 giving K&D a 70 run victory.

All the bowlers did their bit with Chris Davidson (2 for 22) Beau Webster (2 for 18) Ben Coley (2 for 24) and Chris Kenny (2 for 19) sharing the bowling honours.
