EXPERIENCED hockey star Jean Scott-Miller has captained England Over-60s to the European Masters Championship title.

Scott-Miller, who captains Hampton-in-Arden’s Ladies 2nd XI, has just returned from captaining England to the title in London where she finishes as one of the team’s top scorers.

She played five matches in six days as England won all of their games to be crowned winners.

“I am over the moon,” said Scott-Miller, who has played for England Masters since 2006 winning a silver medal at the two previous championships.

“I’ve waited a long time for this gold and now the focus is gold at the World Cup in Australia next March after getting silver last time.

“Hampton is where I have played since 1977 and through their coaching programme I have continued to improve – age is no barrier!”
