SOLIHULL Blossomfield maintained their 17-point advantage at the top of Warwickshire League Division Two with a comfortable win at home to Hunningham on Saturday.
The hosts won the toss in favourable bowling conditions and wasted no time in stamping their authority on the game.
The Hunningham batsmen never looked comfortable against the Blossomfield seam bowlers with Harvey Satterthwaite taking four wickets, while Dev Patel picked up thre others and youngstar Jack Felton also picked up a couple as the visitors could only muster 88 all out from 33 overs.
Blossomfield opening batsmen Naveed Bashir was in no mood for hanging around as he took the attack to the Hunningham bowlers from the very first ball.
His very brisk 37 came at better than a run a ball and put the result beyond doubt. The visitors never gave up and managed to get something to show from their efforts with five wickets falling in relatively quick succession, but it was too little too late and Bloss reached 91 for 5 inside 15 overs.
Next up for Bloss is another home fixture against mid-table Nether Whitacre this Saturday.
