Highgate United's league game against Coventry United ordered to be replayed

HIGHGATE United’s clash against Coventry United has been ordered to be replayed by league chiefs.

The Midland League Premier Division encounter was abandoned in second half stoppage time when United substitute Daniel O’Sullivan required an ambulance.

Marco Adaggio gave Gate the lead in the 13th minute before the striker doubled the hosts’ advantage two minutes later.

Jake Holt reduced the arrears for Coventry in the 28th minute from the penalty spot.




Kurtis Revan restored Gate’s two-goal lead from the spot in the 53rd minute before Shaquille McDonaled pulled one back for Coventry five minutes later.

United then bagged the equaliser late on when Aaron Brown put through his own net before the game was abandoned.


Highgate travel to Loughborough University on Saturday before travelling to Alvechurch on Tuesday in the Birmingham Senior Cup.
