RUGBY UNION: BIRMINGHAM Exiles tasted a heavy 45-5 home defeat against Midlands 5 West South leaders Burbage at Old Damson Lane on Saturday.

The home side took the lead in what was the second encounter between the two sides this season, but Burbage roared back, scoring at regular intervals throughout to rack up a tally of seven tries.

That was it scoring wise for the hosts as Burbage replied with three converted tries before the break to hold at 21-5 lead at half-time.

Burbage picked up where they ha left off as the second half got underway, scoring four more tries converting two of then . Their pack laid the foundations for the win with a determined display that Exiles found hard to cope with.
