FOOTBALL - Solihull Moors stunned by 10-man Redditch United on penalties in Birmingham Senior Cup

SOLIHULL Moors exited the Birmingham Senior Cup following a penalty shootout defeat against 10-man Redditch United.

Former Moors academy boss Mike Fowler triumphed against his old club at Damson Park.

The game ended 1-1 at the end of regulation time despite Redditch seeing goalkeeper Tyrese Warmington sent off after just 10 minutes.

A Brad Stevenson penalty drew Moors level after an early goal from Jack Loughran put the visitors ahead.

Former Moors midfielder Matty Warburton played in goal for Redditch for 80 minutes and saved two penalties in the shootout to dump Solihull out of the competition at the third round stage.

Solihull host Hartlepool United on Saturday, February 21 with kick-off at 3pm at Damson Park.
