NEW Signing Callum McFarlane scored twice as Solihull Moors romped to a 4-0 victory against Banbury United in a pre-season friendly.
Former Fulham youngster McFarlane showed his striking prowess with a brace while Oscar Rutherford and Kian Ryley also found the net at Spencer Stadium.
Moors broke the deadlock after just nine minutes as Rutherford finished into an unguarded net after Cameron Green diverted Darius Lipsiuc’s cross into the scorer’s path.
And McFarlane doubled the away side’s lead on 54 minutes when he guided an effort into the net from Green’s precise cross.
McFarlane doubled his tally for the game later in the second half after good work from substitute Bradley Stevenson.
And academy graduate Ryley completed the scoring in injury time when he fired home from inside the penalty area.
Solihull are next in action against Derby County on Tuesday, July 29 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Damson Park.
A Moors XI will also travel to Bromsgrove Sporting on Tuesday, July 29 with kick-off at 7pm at the Victoria Ground.
