SOLIHULL Moors remain unbeaten at home under Chris Millington following a 1-1 draw against Wealdstone.

Moors took the lead courtesy of Emmanuel Sonupe’s goal only for Omar Mussa to draw the visitors level soon after at Damson Park.

The result means Solihull sit 13th in the National League table.

Moors went close early on when Sonupe burst into the penalty area and saw his low effort saved by Wealdstone goalkeeper Dante Baptiste.

The visitors responded with a chance of their own as Laurie Walker kept out Nathan Tshikuna’s shot through a crowd of bodies.

However, Moors broke the deadlock on 33 minutes when Sonupe coolly lifted a shot into the bottom left corner from Joe Sbarra’s through ball.

The visitors equalised six minutes later as Mussa drilled a low effort beyond Walker from just outside the penalty area after Moors failed to clear their lines at a free-kick.

Solihull spurned a glorious chance to reclaim the lead on the hour mark when Sbarra pounced on a loose pass and saw his attempted lob saved by Baptiste who stood tall.

The home side went close in the final few minutes as a ball from the left ran through to James Clarke at the back post only for Baptiste to make another crucial stop.

Wealdstone went straight up the other end to create a chance of their own as Walker tipped Sak Hassan’s powerful effort over the crossbar.

Solihull are next in action against Forest Green Rovers on Saturday, December 6 with kick-off at 3pm at the New Lawn.
