SOLIHULL Moors saw their four-game unbeaten run come to an end following a narrow 2-1 defeat at league leaders Boreham Wood.
Moors ended the year with a defeat as Joe Sbarra scored his fourth goal in two games in vain at Meadow Park.
The result leaves Solihull 10th in the National League table, seven points outside of the play-off places.
Boreham Wood took the lead after just 10 minutes when Regan Booty curled a free-kick into the top-right corner from 25-yards out.
However, Moors drew level on 26 minutes as Sbarra exchanged passes with Scott High and saw his effort deflect into the net.
The home side reclaimed the lead six minutes before half time when Matt Rush found the net after Boreham Wood caught Moors in possession inside their own penalty area.
Solihull are next in action against Aldershot Town on Saturday, January 3 with kick-off at 3pm at the EBB Stadium.
