CALLUM McFarlane’s late goal earned Solihull Moors the club’s first regulation time victory in the National League Cup with a 1-0 win against Blackburn Rovers under-21s.

McFarlane scored the game’s only goal on 78 minutes at Damson Park as Moors claimed a maiden win in regulation time in the competition.

Solihull boss Chris Millington claimed a second win in as many games despite making seven changes for the cup clash.

Only Brad Nicholson, Szhem Whyte-Hall, Oliver Tipton and Oscar Rutherford remained in the starting XI from Solihull’s win against Braintree Town last weekend.

Moors took the points with 12 minutes left to play as McFarlane found the bottom right corner from the left-hand side of the penalty area.

Solihull travel to Hartlepool United on Saturday, October 25 with kick-off at 3pm at the Prestige Group Stadium.
