SOLIHULL Moors dropped to the bottom of the National League table following a 2-1 home defeat against Southend United.

Moors are now the only side in the National League yet to win a league game this season.

A brace from former Solihull striker Andrew Dallas condemned Moors to defeat after Dan Creaney had drawn the home side level at Damson Park.

The result means Moors sit 24th in the National League table with Matt Taylor’s side bottom of the standings on goal difference.

Southend broke the deadlock after just five minutes when Dallas exchanged passes with Gus Scott-Morriss before coolly finished past Laurie Walker when one-on-one in the box.

However, Moors equalised eight minutes after half time as Creaney lashed a sensational half volley into the net from 25-yards out after catching Collin Andeng-Ndi off his line.

The visitors reclaimed the lead on 72 minutes when Dallas controlled Slavi Spasov’s cross from the left and blasted home from six-yards out.

Solihull are next in action against Yeovil Town on Tuesday, September 2 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Damson Park.
