SOLIHULL Moors suffered a 3-0 defeat away at Halifax Town as the visitors finished the match with 10-men for the second game in succession.

A hat-trick from Will Harris condemned Moors to defeat while Brad Nicholson received a red card in first-half injury time with the home side a goal to the good at The Shay.

The result means Solihull sit 12th in the National League table.

Halifax broke the deadlock on 22 minutes when Harris forced the ball home from close range after James Clarke cleared Adam Adetoro’s initial header off the line following a corner from the left.

And Nicholson then received a straight red card deep into first-half injury time when he brought down Will Hugill with the Halfiax midfielder clean through on goal.

The home side doubled their lead on 53 minutes when Harris poked home Jamie Cooke’s ball in from the left from eight-yards out.

And Harris completed his hat-trick on 70 minutes with a low drive into the net from just inside the penalty area after he worked space for a shot.

Halifax also finished the game with 10-men after Cooke saw red for a lunging challenge on Clarke.

Solihull host Manchester United under-21s in the National League Cup on Tuesday, November 25 with kick-off at 7pm at Damson Park.
