EMMANUEL Sonupe’s goal earned Solihull Moors a 1-0 win against lower-division Stratford Town in the Birmingham Senior Cup.

Moors advanced to the next round of the competition courtesy of Sonupe’s deflected second-half strike at the Arden Garages Stadium.

Solihull boss Chris Millington named a much-changed side for the fixture against Step Three Stratford.

And Sonupe scored the game’s only goal on 59 minutes when his effort deflected past Bards goalkeeper Jake Weaver and into the net.

Solihull are next in action against Scunthorpe United on Saturday, November 15 with kick-off at 3.03pm at Damson Park.

This weekend’s fixture will kick off three minutes after 3pm as part of the National League’s 3UP campaign.

The National League’s 3UP campaign aims to establish three promotion places into League Two from the fifth tier.

Games across 15 divisions in the non-league pyramid will kick-off at the delayed time of 3.03pm.
