CHRIS Millington started his reign as Solihull Moors boss with a 1-1 draw away at Eastleigh.

Moors took the lead courtesy of Jacob Wakeling’s goal shortly after half time at Silverlake Stadium.

However, Harvey Saunders drew the home side level on 69 minutes as the game ended all square.

The result means Solihull sit 17th in the National League table, two points clear of the relegation zone.

After a goalless first half, Moors broke the deadlock on 47 minutes when Wakeling reacted quickest to turn home Ben Worman’s low cross after some head tennis in the Eastleigh penalty area.

However, the home side equalised later in the second half as Saunders powered a header into the corner of the net from Archie Harris’s cross.

Solihull travel to Ebbsfleet United in the FA Cup on Saturday, October 11 with kick-off at 3pm at Kuflink Stadium.
