KNOWLE romped to their joint biggest win of the season with an emphatic 7-0 victory against local rivals Earlswood Town.

The league leaders stormed into a five-goal lead at the break as the Robins cruised to victory at the Draintech Community Stadium.

Both Callum Burston-Keeley and Hayden Purves scored braces while Jack Duggan, Odane Barnes and Zak Parsons all found the net.

The result means Knowle lead the Midland Football League Division Two table by 12 points with the Earls down in 11th place.

Knowle made the perfect start when Purves sent Alfie Pyott the wrong way from the penalty spot after Luke Woodward fouled George Seeley in the box just two minutes into the contest.

And the Robins doubled their lead five minutes later as Duggan powered home a header to leave the visitors stunned.

The home side struck again on 11 minutes when Barnes touched home another Duggan header.

And Burston-Keeley took the game out of Earlswood’s reach before teeing up Parsons just before the break as the Robins led by five goals at the interval.

Knowle picked up where they left off after the break as Burston-Keeley grabbed his second of the game within minutes of the restart.

And Purves completed the scoring early in the second period as the Robins secured a ninth straight victory in the league.

Defeat for the Earls means the visitors have lost their last four league games, conceding 24 goals in the process.

Knowle are next in action against Central Ajax in the Les James Challenge Cup on Saturday, February 1 with kick-off at 2pm at the Draintech Community Stadium.

Earlswood host Fairfield Villa in league action on Saturday, February 1 with kick-off at 2.15pm at The Pavilions.
