KNOWLE continued their title charge with a thrilling 5-3 victory against AFC Bridgnorth in an eight-goal epic.
A hat-trick from Jack Duggan and further goals from Brady Floyd and Connor Mort sealed the points for the Robins at Crown Meadow.
The result means Knowle sit second in the Midland Football League Division One table, two points behind leaders Gornal Athletic with two games in hand.
Knowle broke the deadlock on 19 minutes when Brady Floyd won back possession on the edge of the Bridgnorth box and curled a stunning effort into the top left corner.
However, the home side equalised when Craig Tuckley forced a shot past Knowle goalkeeper Matt Horton via the aid of the post.
The Robins reclaimed the lead on 36 minutes as Duggan volleyed in George Seeley’s corner at the back post.
The visitors extended their lead two minutes into the second half when Mort lashed an unstoppable first time effort into the top left corner from the edge of the box.
And Knowle all but sealed the points on 57 minutes when Duggan volleyed in his second of the game.
Duggan completed his hat-trick on 70 minutes with a finish at the back post to take the game out of Bridgnorth’s reach.
However, the home side rallied late on as Kosheen Sappleton scored from the penalty spot before substitute Billy Moore further reduced the deficit.
Knowle are next in action against Kirby Muxloe on Saturday, March 14 with kick-off at 3pm at Ratby Lane.
