FOOTBALL - Earlswood Town player-manager Tom Reynolds resigns

TOM Reynolds has resigned as Earlswood Town’s player-manager, bringing an end to his four-year spell in the Pavilions dugout.

Reynolds has been in charge of the club since the 2019/20 campaign but has departed the Earls citing personal reasons.

After two Covid-affected campaigns, Reynolds guided the Earls to ninth and 12th place finishes in the Midland Football League Division Two.

He also appeared in 70 games, alongside his managerial duties, and claimed the Committee’s Player of the Year award last season.

Earlswood chairman, Andy Walker, said: “On behalf of everybody connected with the football club, I would like to place on record our thanks to Tom for his commitment to The Earls over the past four seasons, both on and off the field.

“It is with a heavy heart that we say farewell to Tom but we respect his decision owing to a desire to spend more time with his young family.”

Callum Ingram, supported by Eddy Pitt, will take charge in the interim with pre-season training scheduled to start this Saturday (June 24).

Earlswood have begun their search for Reynolds’ successor and any interested applicants should submit the necessary details to: [email protected]
