EARLSWOOD Town slumped to the bottom of the table after suffering a heavy 6-0 defeat away at Littleton.

Adam Taylor scored four goals for the The Tonboys with George Kirby also on target as Nathan Woodhouse put through his own net at Five Acres.

The result means the Earls prop up the Midland Football League Division Two table having lost all three of their opening matches.

Despite a positive start from the visitors, Littleton scored with virtually every shot as makeshift goalkeeper Louis Bridges endured a miserable evening.

Taylor opened the scoring against the run of play on 16 minutes before striking again seven minutes later with an effort into the right corner of the goal from the left.

And Kirby extended Littleton’s lead before Woodhouse scored an own goal on 37 minutes as the Earls found themselves four goals down at the break.

The Earls improved after the break  only for Taylor to score two penalties in the space of four minutes late on.

Earlswood are next in action against Coventrians on Saturday, August 17 with kick-off at 3pm at The Pavilions.
