EARLSWOOD Town surrendered a two-goal lead against title-challengers AFC Coventry Rangers as the Earls battled to a credible 2-2 draw.
The home side struck either side of half time through Shane Doyle and Michael Bridges only for Coventry to score twice in the space of six minutes and rescue a point at the Pavilions.
And the result means Earlswood sit 10th in the Midland Football League Division Two table.
The Earls took the lead on 17 minutes when Doyle collected player-manager’s Tom Reynolds’ perfectly weighted long ball and curled a fine effort past Jack Hartopp to net his first goal of the campaign.
And Earlswood doubled their lead on 65 minutes when substitute Bridges slotted the ball into the bottom right corner from John Palmer’s pass.
However, Coventry responded minutes later when Charlie Hynam tapped in from close range after an initial shit came back off the crossbar.
And Rangers completed the comeback with a quickfire second when Connoll Farrell finished from close range after good work from Joe Gardner who rounded Tom Day before passing to the former.
Earlswood are next in action at home to Fairfield Villa on Saturday, April 1 with kick-off at 3pm at The Recreation Ground.
