YEARS of hard work and dedication have paid off for Solihull-based West Midlands Ju Jitsu Club after four of its members achieved black belt status.
After six years of training, Caleb Roberts, Derek Bradshaw, Safeer Majid and Chad Walker achieved their honour in Liverpool last month.
The black belt recognises the fact that as an individual you have reached a certain standard in Ju Jitsu and it can take up to seven years even for the most committed student to secure the achievement.
And under the stewardship of instructors Sensei Anthony Walker and Colin Hubball, who have been running the club for over 20 years, all four have demonstrated a great example of commitment, hard work and focus which plays a great part of the club’s ethos.
