Delves has fingers crossed for Oulton Park double header

Correspondent 21st Sep, 2021

LIAM Delves will be hoping for better fortune when he heads to Oulton Park this weekend for rounds 12 and 13 of the Pirelli National Junior Superstock championship.

In the last round at Silverstone the Solihull racer was unlucky to have been impeded in the early stages of the race when a five-rider crash ahead forced him to run wide to avoid becoming involved in the incident. As a result he dropped places and ended his race in 10th position.

This weekend the riders will have two races instead of the usual one which will give Delves, currently sixth in the standings, a good chance to pick up some valuable points to move him back into the top five.

Last time he visited the Cheshire circuit was in the first round of the championship in June, taking a fifth and 10th place in the two races so he will be looking to better those results this time.
