DORRIDGE CC posted a 300-plus score as top-order half-centuries helped the Solihull club to a winning draw against Kenilworth Wardens.
Montcin Hodge and Daniyal Khan both recorded half-tons while three other Dorridge batters scored 30-plus runs as the visitors closed on 302-7 at Glasshouse Park.
Dorridge looked on course to secure an outright victory with Kenilworth eight wickets down in the 43rd over but the home side dug in with the bat to ensure the game ended in a draw.
The result means Dorridge sit 10th in the Birmingham Premier League Premier Division One table after taking 17 points from the fixture.
Kenilworth won the toss and elected to field as Dorridge openers Nivethan Radhakrishnan (38) and Hodge (75) put on 78 runs for the first wicket.
The runs continued to flow as Khan (66) combined with Hodge at the crease in a 73-run second-wicket stand.
Hodge faced 106 balls and hit 13 boundaries while Khan lasted 89 balls at the crease and hit seven boundaries, including two maximums, before Jack Pidgeon (2-56) broke up the partnership.
Nabeel Mahmood (39) chipped in with a useful knock while Ayan Khan (34) scored quickfire runs from 23 balls and Adnaan Riaz (21 not out) blasted his runs from just seven deliveries.
The late runs pushed Dorridge beyond the 300-run mark despite the best efforts of Tommy Rex (3-68).
Kenilworth opener Oliver Dandy (70) put on 35 runs for the first wicket with Alex Wilkinson (17) in reply as A Khan (1-21) struck to remove the latter.
And Keith Bell (9) faced 51 balls before Imaad Mahmood (2-50) claimed his first scalp in the 25th over with Kenilworth on 88-2.
Nabeel Mahmood (3-40) then accounted for opener Dandy who lasted 93 balls in the middle while Nivethan Radhakrishnan (2-52) had Levi Gekis (4) stumped.
And N Mahmmod returned to claim the crucial scalp of Harry Johnson (44) and removed Jamie Turner (0) for a two-ball duck in the same over.
Radhakrishnan then bowled Ben Blakemore (29) and I Mahmood accounted for Ben Fitzgerald (4) to leave Kenilworth in trouble on 184-8 in the 43rd over with just under 12 overs still to bat
However, determined batting from Rex (1 not out) and Pidgeon (11 not out) saw the game end in a draw as the pair survived 77 balls at the crease.
Dorridge are next in action against Ombersley on Saturday, July 25 with play to begin at 12pm(midday) at the John Woolman Ground.
