A KIND-HEARTED youngster had her long red locks chopped off to raise funds for the Little Princess Trust.

Caitlin Doody decided she wanted to donate 14-inches of hair to the charity so other poorly children could have a full head of hair.

She was inspired to take on the challenge after watching videos of other donating their hair on her tablet around three years ago.

The eight-year-old has smashed her fundraising target of £550 and has raised a whopping £1,382 so far.

Caitlin had her hair cut off during a special assembly at Our Lady of Compassion Catholic Primary School in Kineton Green.

She was joined by her four friends who held her hair while it was cut.

Proud mum Bernie said: “We are so proud of Caitlin and her selfless determination to do this.”
