A KIND-HEARTED 11-year-old put his best foot forward in honour of his grandad who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Louie Evans, from Yardley, alongside his family and friends, walked just under five miles from Solihull to Sheldon in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

Louie decided to set himself the challenge after his grandad, Steven Evans, was handed his diagnosis in April.

Initially Louie set out to do the walk with one friend and he wanted to raise £100.

However, not only did his team expand to around 30 but he also managed to raise more than £700.

Proud mum Sophie Evans said: “I’m very proud of Louie on the amount he has raised for such a fantastic charity that means so much to myself and my family.

“I’m overwhelmed by how many people have supported Louie in doing this.”
