LITTLE ones and those young at heart worked up a sweat for an intergenerational exercise class.
Care UK’s Blossomfield Grange welcomed children from Mad Hatters Day Nursery to take part in a Get Active Day.
The day kicked off with a seated “exercise-to-music” class, featuring classic party tracks and pompoms, followed by a relaxing stretch and relaxation session at the Worcester Way care home.
To keep everyone feeling refreshed, residents and children were treated to a selection of health foods specially prepared by the home’s chef, including kale, apple and mint juice shots.
Resident Jan Quigley, 71, said: “The exercise class was so much fun. I really enjoyed the music and the pom poms, and so did the nursery children.”
Jo Hopkins, customer relations manager at Blossomfield Grange, said: “Our Get Active Day was an absolute hit, and residents loved training alongside the children from Mad Hatters Day Nursery.”
