Solihull Editorial 18th Feb, 2022   0

A SECONDARY school in Yardley has secured funding to provide breakfast for pupils.

Cockshut Hill School will be able to hand out bagel breakfasts to children in the morning after being handed funding by the National School Breakfast Programme.

The programme is funded by the Department for Education and delivered by Family Action to support schools in England to provide children with a healthy breakfast at the start of the school day.

The school hope to launch the programme fully as soon as possible after half term.

Principal, Jason Bridges, said: “I am delighted that Cockshut Hill School have secured funding from the National Schools Breakfast Programme.

“We know that a healthy school breakfast sets children up to succeed and gives them what they need to ensure they can concentrate fully on their learning.”
