A WOMAN had her car stolen in broad daylight after she was attacked by a gang of thugs at a garden centre near Solihull.

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses following the incident at Melbicks Garden Centre, Chester Road, Coleshill, at 12.45pm on Monday (October 29).

Describing the horrifying confrontation, a police spokesperson said: “The owner was forced to the ground and she threw her keys to one of the offenders who then made off in the vehicle along the dual carriageway towards Stonebridge Island.

“The vehicle has the registration MF67 GXD but it is likely to be now on different plates. The car is a VW Golf GTI in white and it is a five-door hatchback.

“Did you see a vehicle driving erratically? Do you have dashcam footage?

“Melbicks Garden Centre is helping Warwickshire Police with its investigation and the site is unaffected by this incident.”

Those with information should contact police on 101, quoting WK-20181029-0183.
