A SHOP THIEF has been banned from entering Solihull for five years.
Connie Parsons has been handed criminal behaviour order (CBO), which bans her from entering the whole of the Solihull area.
West Midlands Police said the 32-year-old has been found to be stealing from shops and businesses across the borough.
Following work from the Shirley neighbourhood team, they were able to secure a five-year CBO.
The CBO came into effect from October 6, and if she is found to be in breach of the order, she will automatically be arrested and could be jailed.
Sergeant Kev Vince, from the Shirley Neighbourhood Team, said: “My team worked hard to get the CBO imposed as we know her behaviour has been a blight on the community due to her persistent offending and antisocial behaviour.
“I hope this shows the community that we’re taking a strong stance on anyone found to be causing a nuisance in our area.
“The CBO reinforces that we will do everything we can to protect retail workers and improve confidence in our local high streets and town centres.”
