CELEBRATIONS were in order at WMG Academy Solihull as students found out their exams results.

The anxious wait was over for the Chemsley Road college students was over on Thursday (August 17) who sat their first formal exams since the Covid-19 pandemic hit in 2020.

Some secured apprenticeships at companies including Arup, the Royal Navy and Rolls Royce, while others are headed to universities in Coventry and Arden.

Associate principal, Claire Morris said: “We are extremely proud of all our students.

“For most, these exams would have been their first experience of a formal examination series following the pandemic and they have all demonstrated resilience and maturity throughout.”

Former student, Emma Forrest, said: “I have felt truly supported throughout my time at WMG, with both my academic studies and from a wellbeing view point.

“I am really pleased with the DMP I achieved in Business studies, Engineering Certificate and Art and Design, I am now excited to undertake a Law degree at Arden University.”
