A WINDRUSH compensation meeting will be held at Kingshurst New Testament Church of God on Monday (November 18).
The meeting, from 6pm, will offer help to people impacted by Windrush, with advice on making a claim.
Legal advice will be given to Solihull residents affected by the political scandal, which saw the Home Office removing British residents who arrived from the Caribbean before 1973, some of whom were deported to countries where they had no connections.
Bishop Dr Desmond Jaddoo, who is organising the meeting, said: “We will have a status team there who will help regularise the status of those who are affected. “A representative of the Home Office will also be there to present the compensation available for Windrush scandal victims.
“It hasn’t just been first generation migrants who have suffered, there are second or third generation people who we can help with their paperwork.”
Kingshurst New Testament Church of God is on Gilson Way.
