West Midlands Police hunt illegal off-road bikers

Solihull Editorial 22nd Jul, 2016 Updated: 21st Oct, 2016   0

POLICE are on the hunt to find dozens of illegal off-road bikers who wreaked havoc across the borough earlier this month – driving through public parks and obstructing oncoming traffic.

West Midlands Police have received several calls about dangerous driving and were called to Lode Lane to seize a motorbike, two quad bikes and a kit car.

One incident – recorded on a fellow motorist’s dash-cam – show bikers driving on the wrong side of the road, performing tricks and jumping red lights.

Another incident involved an unexpected father shielding his daughter as a group of bikers tore through Hillfield Park.

Officers have reviewed hours of footage and have now released images of people they want to identify in relation to anti-social driving on the day in Birmingham and Solihull.

Anyone with any information is being urged to contact 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
