NOMINATIONS for exceptional civil engineering projects are open for the ICE West Midlands regional Awards 2023.
The awards celebrate civil engineering projects, teams and individuals across the region.
Project entrants can choose from a wide-range of award categories, including the best large, medium and small project, sustainability, studies & research, innovation, heritage and communication.
Individual Achievements are recognised across three categories: the Bob Dunn Award, Young Achiever Award and Technician Award.
Jo Barnett, ICE East and West Midlands Regional Director, said: “Each year we celebrate the outstanding achievements of civil engineers across the region at our West Midlands Awards.
“I am delighted to announce that our 2023 awards are now open for entries and we look forward to receiving a diverse selection of entries, highlighting the civil engineering talent across our region.”
From local schemes to multi-million cross county infrastructure projects, all types and sizes of project substantially completed in 2022 will be considered.
Entries will be accepted from projects, teams and individuals from Birmingham, the Black Country, Coventry, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Solihull, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
The winners will be announced during an Awards Gala dinner taking place on Thursday, 21 September 2023 at the MacDonald Burlington Hotel, Birmingham.
Last years’ winners included the Marches Mosses BogLIFE Project in Shropshire which won the Sustainability Award and the Overall Project Award and the Armed Forces Community Garden in WHERE which won the Judges Award.
Entrants are invited to express their interest by completing an online form by Friday, 28 April 2023.
The deadline for entries is Midday on Friday, 26 May 2023.
