A NATIONWIDE search and rescue team who’s Midland branch train in Solihull are appealing for items to recycle to boost their finances.
The Water Search and Rescue Team are volunteers who help those in need or danger, in and around water.
They also train new members in water rescue, first response emergency care, mental health first aid and provide them with their personal kit.
Whilst registered as a national charity, the Midlands unit of Water Search and Rescue Team train in and around Solihull, including popular sailing venue Olton Mere.
During the pandemic the team has struggled to fund raise but have opened up new ways to achieve this and help the environment at the same time by recycling.
They have a number of donation points in Solihull and people can email [email protected] for details of the local drop off point if they are able to donate any of the following items: Books, stamps, cameras, mobile phones, clean clothing, old and foreign currency, or plastic milk bottle tops.
