BUDDING wheelchair basketballers or anyone interested in having a go are being invited to take on the challenge with the Warwickshire Bears.
The Warwickshire Bears Wheelchair Basketball Academy is giving everyone from across Solihull, Warwickshire and the West Midlands, whatever age, level, disability to try out the sport at one of their session at North Solihull Sports Club.
The club said: “The Bears offer a community that is far more than simply a basketball team. Our mission is to inspire and support everyone facing obstacles in life and encourage them to turn them into opportunities, however difficult that may seem.
“We celebrate inclusivity and positivity and encourage both disabled and able-bodied players to take part.”
On January 28 the Warwickshire Bears are hosting a national tournament, supported by British Wheelchair Basketball, to foster competition and a love of the game amongst our under 14s community.
There will be six teams from across the country going head to head for the title of Tournament Champion.
Alternatively join in a free training session from 9.30am every Saturday.
