TOILETRIES are the top of Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bike’s Christmas list.
Charitable folk are being asked to donate products such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant, sanitary pads and tampons to help families living below the poverty line.
The charity says it was inspired to launch Practical Presents after seeing families struggling to buy personal hygiene products.
It added: “It can be shocking to learn in this day and age that many young adults, children and vulnerable people are unable to afford basic hygiene products.
“This type of poverty can be embarrassing, not only to address, but for the person living this way. It can also affect physical health, mental health, confidence and lead to social isolation or bullying.
“We’re not hiding from this issue, and just like our emergency medical transport work, we are committed to making a difference and tackling this head-on.”
