Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bike revving up for Easter Egg Run

Solihull Editorial 26th Mar, 2022   0

BIKERS are being called on to spread some joy on the Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bikes annual Easter Egg Run.

The annual Egg Run is made up of volunteers on their motorbikes raising money to buy Easter Eggs for children who will be in hospital over the Easter holidays.

This year’s Toy Run will leave Coventry Building Society on Harry Weston Road in Coventry at 1pm on April 16 and is open to anyone with a bike for a £5 donation.

The Lord Mayor of Coventry will also be joining the Run and leading the convoy.

Fancy dress is optional but encouraged.

In addition, the Blood Bike charity is also working with the Ukrainian Church in Coventry to put together welcome packs for those coming to the UK to seek refuge.

Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bikes are looking for either financial donations, chocolates, sweets and or toiletry packs suitable for young teenagers.

Blood Bikes is a registered charity that transports urgent samples of blood, Covid, human tissue and urgent medical supplies through their volunteers across Warwickshire’s network of hospitals.

Volunteers including riders and drivers offer this service free of charge to the NHS providing a weekday out of hours service and 24/7 weekend and bank holiday cover.

For more, to sign up to the ride, or to donate email Phil Evans on [email protected] or visit https://donate.giveasyoulive.com/donate and search for WSBB under donate to a charity.
