Voters head to the polls

Sarah Mason 6th May, 2021

SILHILLIANS are heading off to the polls today (Thursday) to decide who makes the tough decisions on the borough council.

Voters are being asked to have a say on who will represent their area on the local authority.

Votes will also be casting votes for the postponed West Midlands Mayoral election and the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner election which were delayed a year due to the pandemic.

People attending polling stations are asked to wear a face covering and wash their hands before entering and when leaving.

Voters are also reminded to take their own pen or pencil to cast their vote and comply with social distancing rules.

Polling stations across the region are open until 10pm.
