VETERANS have helped decorate their care home as they prepare for Christmas.
Royal Star and Garter residents in Solihull helped decorate trees and those extra bits to make the Tudor Coppice home look more festive.
They have also been treated to a number of festive art and crafts and cookery activities, carol concerts and outings in the run-up to the special day.
Royal Star and Garter is a charity which cares for veterans and their partners living with disability or dementia.
Volunteers from Paragon Bank and military student nurses from Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham came to the Home to help decorate the tress with residents and staff.
School choirs have visited and sung carols, and there have also been live concerts, arts and crafts activities, and garden centre visits.
On Christmas Day, Santa will drop each resident a special bespoke present.
The Home is also ready to be filled with visitors, many of whom will stay to enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner.
