Veterans celebrate Armed Forces Day

Solihull Editorial 5th Jul, 2024   0

THE BUNTING was hung with care as Solihull veterans marked Armed Forces Day.

As well as welcoming dignitaries and a military band residents at The Royal Star and Garter there was a talk about the Second World War on June 29.

There was also live music at the Tudor Coppice home, which cares for veterans and their loved ones with dementia and disability, and residents tucked into specially made Armed Forces cakes.

Armed Forces Day took place on June 29, and is a chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving personnel to service families, veterans and cadets.
