A VAN driver had to be cut free following a crash on Lode Lane.
A bus and a van collided near to the Boulton Road junction at around 10.30am this morning (Wednesday, March 13).
The van driver was trapped as a result of his injuries and cut free by West Midlands Fire Service.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Once out, he received further treatment for his injuries, before being taken to Heartlands Hospital.
“The passenger in the van, a teenage male, was also taken to Heartlands Hospital. Neither of the patients are believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
“There were no patients requiring assessment from ambulance staff who had been travelling on the bus.”
The road was closed while investigations took place at the scene.
