SOLIHULL Council have decided against closing Gate Lane in Dorridge for a cycle lane.
In a move to encourage more residents to stay active Solihull Council has shared its plans for three proposed temporary cycle lanes and invited residents to share their feedback.
Councillor Ken Hawkins cabinet member for environment and infrastructure said: “Following a public consultation last summer, I agreed measures to try and increase cycling and walking in Solihull.
“One of the proposals involved closing Gate Lane in Dorridge to traffic. Since the consultation closed, I have heard further views from local residents and so I have decided that this closure will not go ahead.
“I would like to thank everyone who took part in the consultation and those who subsequently took the time to share their views.”
