THE SPOTLIGHT shone on menopausal wellbeing as residents came together in a bid to help change the narrative about menopause and empower women going through this challenging time of their lives.
Menopause Knowledge CIC joined forces with care home Blossomfield Rose in Solihull to host a menopause and wellbeing fayre showcasing the variety of ways people can embrace menopause holistically to mark World Menopause Day.
More than 100 Silhillians visited the events which welcomed guest speakers throughout the day talking about various topics as well as practical sessions on hormone replacement therapy, the power of energy healing and ADHD and neurodiversity in menopause.
Councillor Karen Grinsell, deputy leader at Solihull Council was opened the event.
She said: “We all need to learn more about menopause, what happens to a woman, how it affects her and everyone around her at that particular time in her life and how we can navigate this time of life in the most positive way”
Aline Boblin, chief executive and founder of Menopause Knowledge CIC, said: “The day was simply electrifying, empowering and emotional for many.
“The variety of the stands seemed to match the expectations of our guests.
“From a medical perspective and gaining clarity on questions people had been confused about, from an individual self-care perspective with holistic therapists providing relaxing treatments, from husbands and partners understanding the situation their loved ones face and struggle with.”
There was also a range of wellbeing practitioners and stands with experts on hand from the worlds of reflexology and reiki, to crystal healing and nutrition to offer their advice.
