Two teenagers charged with attempted murder after stabbing in Solihull

TWO teenagers have been charged with attempted murder over a fight in which a boy was stabbed in the back.

Officers were called to Chapelhouse Road, Solihull, at 2.40pm on Sunday (April 26) following reports of a nearby disorder.

A 16-year-old boy was found with a serious knife wound to the back. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

One man was arrested at the scene while another was detained later at his home address.

Last night, police charged Tobias Hollingsworth (18) from Kinghurst Way and 19-year-old Connor Sheedy from Schofield Road – both in Kingshurst – with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.

They are due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.

A 14-year-old boy, from Kingshurst, was also arrested in connection with the violence. He has been bailed to return for more questioning next month.
