TWO people have died and two others are seriously injured after a car crashed into a wall in Solihull.

The group were in a Mercedes A200 when it crashed on Warwick Road, near Gentleshaw Lane, at about 2am on Sunday (December 13).

A man and a woman in their 20s died at the scene.

The other two occupants of the car, the driver and a passenger, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes said: “The investigation is at a really early stage, and we’re trying to establish exactly what happened and why.

“I’d urge anyone who saw the Mercedes driving in the area, or who may have captured anything on dash-cam footage, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information should contact police online at www.west-midlands.police.uk or by calling 101 and quoting log 378 of December 13.
