Two charged over murder of Jack Donoghue in Solihull

TWO MEN have been charged over the murder of Jack Donoghue in Solihull over the weekend.

Police were called to Poplar Road, Solihull, near to Popworld and Yates’ at 3am on November 30 after the 21-year-old was fatally stabbed.

Connor Moore and Regan Watters were charged on December 2 (Monday) and will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court later today (December 3).

Moore, aged 20, from Weston Road, Lichfield, was charged with murder and violent disorder and Watters, aged 21, from Kitts Green Road, Stechford, was charged with murder, violent disorder and assault with intent to rob.




A 39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released pending further investigation and a 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder was released on bail.

A manhunt was launched on Sunday evening for 21-year-old Tyrall Blake, who is being sought in connection with Jack’s death.


Officers from across the force have been following a number of lines of enquiry to trace Blake, but he has not yet been arrested.

Detective Inspector Jim Mahon, from the force’s homicide department, said: “This is another significant step forward in our enquiries. My thoughts remain with Jack’s family who have been kept fully updated with this development.

“I continue to appeal to anyone who has information about Blake’s whereabouts to get in touch.”
