TVs and consoles confiscated in Chelmsley Wood noise action

Solihull Editorial 19th Nov, 2021   0

A NOISY Chelmsley Wood neighbour has had televisions and PS4s computer consoles removed by Solihull Council.

The Trading Standards and Environmental Compliance Team removed three televisions, two PS4s and a Bluetooth speaker from a Solihull Community Housing tenant’s home in Chelmsley Wood.

Police and Council officers swooped after being granted an entry warrant by Birmingham Magistrates Court as the tenant had breached an abatement notice – a noise notice – twice in two days.

Councillor Alison Rolf, cabinet member for stronger and safer communities, said: “Excessive noise and anti social behaviour is distressing for the vast majority of our law-abiding tenants.

“If a person displays persistently inconsiderate behaviour towards their neighbours, we will take action.”
