A TRIO of Solihull drug dealers have been jailed for more than 25 years a drug line was shut down.
West Midlands Police County Lines Taskforce acted on information and rumbled the ‘Kash Line’ which supplied cocaine and heroin between 2023 and 2024 which ran between Birmingham and Solihull.
Officers examined phone records which showed almost 60,000 texts from the main hotline number, often sent in bulk, and more than 30,000 calls in and out.
They were able to link Raheel Khan, his brother Ansir Khan and Leon Matthews to the number and the illegal supply network.
West Midlands Police said the Khan’s were heavily involved in the running of the operation while Matthews was used to ferry around the drugs.
They were arrested after a series of warrants were executed last June.
They admitted conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and were sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court.
Ansir Khan, aged 43, of Charterhouse Drive, Solihull, was jailed for 10 years and five months
Leon Matthews, aged 47, of Rowood Drive, Solihull, was jailed for four years and six months
Raheel Khan, aged 33, of Coventry Road, Sheldon, was jailed for 10 years and nine months
Detective Sergeant Craig Tennant, from the County Lines Taskforce, said: “Through the number of calls and texts it’s clear this was a line supplying a significant amount of Class A drugs.
“We were able to identify those involved and not only shut down the network, but ensure they’ve been put behind bars for their involvement.
“We know County Lines networks cause misery within our communities as drugs not only ruin lives, but also fuel other crime. We’re working day in, day out, to bring down drug lines.”
